Studied Guitar in Hilversum in the Netherlands.
Moved to Berlin in 2000, where he works as a freelance performative musician, guitar teacher and music producer.
From 2006 onwards, he moved his focus to Brasilian Music and to the „7Cordas“, the seven-string guitar used in Choro and Samba. He also picked up the Cavaquinho, an Ukulele-like instrument used in the same idiom.
The Guitarra Portuguesa is the new thing in his collection of instruments and is used in different fado projects, as well as a solo projects with original compositions and „classical“ material from renaissance music to contemporary.
